What does your day look like

You start the day by developing welding data for a client. This involves analyzing the welding process and finding ways to achieve the desired quality. During this task, the Robot Application Engineer interrupts you with a process-related question. Together, you review which steps in the welding process can be improved to enable the welding robot to operate at higher speeds.

As a Robot Welding Engineer, you’re not only focused on welding processes but also on supporting cutting and milling processes. You’re constantly looking for ways to make machines faster and better while maintaining the highest possible quality. You do this primarily as part of a team, often working 1-on-1 with a Robot Application Engineer or R&D Engineer. Later, the sales department approaches you to assess welding-related questions in a new client request and provide a detailed response.

After lunch, you configure the HMI according to the client’s requirements. This can include setting up screen content, buttons, warning messages, and other aspects of the user interface. A colleague calls you in the meantime, asking for help. You put on your work shoes and head to the assembly hall. After reviewing the technical specifications, you discover the solution is simpler than expected. You apply it and ensure the machine is ready for the Factory Acceptance Test, which you’ll conduct with the client next week.

Additionally, you are responsible for the optimal implementation of our own RinasWeld and ARAC5 software. Afterward, it’s time to prepare and test the Robox, our demo robot.

As an expert in welding, you always stay up-to-date with the latest developments and continuously look for ways to apply them within the organization, working with your colleagues to integrate them into the robot.
