What will you do?
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who thrives in a technical environment where both Configure-to-Order (CTO) and Engineering-to-Order (ETO) projects play a key role.
As part of a team of Mechanical Engineers, guided by a Team Lead, you will collaborate closely with colleagues from various engineering disciplines. We are seeking a candidate with a strong mechanical engineering background and proven experience in product development and engineering.
With your product knowledge, you will be able to effectively apply, further develop, and standardize existing modules and concepts. At the same time, you have an affinity for custom-engineered solutions and complex technical challenges, where creativity and engineering expertise go hand in hand. Designing and delivering sophisticated, customer-focused systems is at the heart of KRANENDONK’s DNA.
You will be responsible for the design and detailing of automated production systems, demonstrating ownership and working closely with colleagues both within and outside the engineering team. Your responsibilities include gathering and analyzing technical information, performing calculations and technical analyses, assessing the feasibility of customer requirements, and developing designs into complete manufacturing drawings with accompanying bills of materials.
You have a strong focus on modularity, standardization, and reusability in your designs. Together with colleagues from different disciplines, you continuously contribute to the improvement of our products and engineering processes. You understand that a successful design not only meets technical requirements but also enhances efficiency, quality, and long-term sustainability.
In addition, you work in a structured and detail-oriented manner. You place great importance on data quality and are experienced in working with Product Data Management (PDM) systems, where maintaining and managing technical information is a natural part of your daily work.

What are you bringing?
For this role, we are looking for a professional with a passion for technology who can work independently, takes ownership, and is strongly focused on quality and practical solutions. In addition, you have:
- A Bachelor's degree (HBO level) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a CTO and/or ETO environment
- Experience with SolidWorks
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems
- A structured and detail-oriented way of working
- Strong command of the English language
- An affinity for multidisciplinary collaboration
