KRANENDONK’s Apollo Flange Beveling Station precisely machines the patented ZEROGAP bevel onto flanges to enable perfect fit-up in pipe spool fabrication. The system handles each flange in a single setup, using automatic tool changes to ensure accuracy and repeatability. It removes the need for manual grinding, supports consistent weld prep, and prepares your spools for automated downstream welding.

The Apollo station prepares pipe ends, elbows, and tees for welding with consistent precision. Aurora Spool Welding Station

The Aurora Spool Welding Station combines TIG and MIG/MAG welding in a smart sequence. Unlike many conventional systems, it automates the critical TIG root pass with a robot, ensuring full penetration and high-quality joint formation without manual intervention. Then, MIG/MAG takes over for fast, reliable fill and cap passes — ideal for thick-walled pipes and high-volume work. Each weld is executed with robotic precision, delivering consistent quality and minimal rework.

The Robotic Pipe Shop is an integrated automated production line that prepares and welds pipe spools with precision and efficiency. It typically starts with two core stations: the Apollo Spool Milling Station, which precisely machines the pipe ends to ensure perfect fit-up, and the Aurora Spool Welding Station, which performs fully automated TIG root passes and MIG/MAG fill and cap passes for high-quality joints.
