Automated work preparation
PSWP is the smart layer between your engineering and production floor. It breaks down imported PCF files into workable 2D pipe spools, automatically detects weld joints, and applies the right beveling and welding parameters - all without manual input. The system handles both standard and non-standard spools, supports multi-pass welding, and intelligently distributes jobs across work cells based on pipe size, geometry, and workload. The result: consistent quality, faster production, and seamless communication between design and fabrication.

Two approaches to pipe spool fabrication
Within KRANENDONK’s offering, two separate pipe spool fabrication systems are available. Each system follows a different production strategy.
- Robotic Pipe Shop: This system handles non-bendable pipe spools. KRANENDONK’s PSWP software fully defines each pipe spool in advance, including elbows, tees, and fittings. It then pushes the design directly into automated milling and welding.
- Flange Assembly Line: This line is perfect for bendable pipe spools. It first welds flanges onto straight pipes. The pipe then moves on to be bent into its final shape.
Shared solutions such as High Rise Storage, Logistics, and SPL modules can support both systems independently — ensuring smart material flow, buffer control, and traceability.
